How to Build a Forest

Picture
Brandon appeared in the original New York production of Obie award winning PearlDamour's 8 hour piece How to Build a Forest. The production ran at The Kitchen theatre. How to Build a Forest is a hybrid project: part visual art installation, part theater performance that unfolds over an extended interval. Beginning on an empty stage, the forest comes together in ways that range from surprisingly intimate to large-scale and spectacular.

The Ride/ In Development

Picture
Brandon performed at the Vineyard Playhouse and Luna Stage creating the role of MamaBaba in readings of The Ride by Carol Lynn Maillard (founding member of the Grammy award winning Sweet Honey in the Rock). The Ride is a companion piece to In Development, a work he co-created with acclaimed actress Suzzanne Douglas (How Stella Got Her Groove Back, The Parent 'Hood) using text by poet Yorri J. Berry.

MV Times called In Development "a very powerful, emotional performance."
